 We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager for our learning disability Service. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated and experienced  manager to develop their professional career and step into a leadership role within the Adult Learning Disability Team.  

 

The service support adults with a learning disability from the age of 18. Our work is varied, complex and enabling. The team consists of both Social workers, Social care assessors and we work alongside specialist LD health practitioners working in partnership to provide holistic support to our Citizens.

 
The post holder will work to the service manager. The Operations manager will be responsible for the professional supervision of the Team managers and have oversight responsibility for the work the teams complete. You will be asked to contribute to more strategic conversations and engage in project and development plans for the serve and the city across the wider Adult social care footprint.

About the Candidate

We are looking for an ambitious and values based practitioner and leader. You will sit between the front line teams and the service manager. 
 
Your role will be to oversee complex case issues, risk, staffing issues - making decisions where necessary and seeking advise when needed. You will over see 3 teams circa 37 practitioners (qualified and unqualified); link in with other parts of the system across health, commissioning, primary care, probation, and other parts of GM. 
 
We have several workstreams - the role holder will be vital to contributing and leading on some of these on behalf of the service.
