Salary: £31,650 - £49084 per annum

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Alternative Provision Teacher to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA)

This is a fixed term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Teaching terms the salary will be on Teachers Main-Upper pay scale.

We’re looking for:

  •  You will need to be qualified to Teach and work in the UK with successful experience in the 11-16 phase. 
  •  This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher to join The Greenwood at MEA - an alternative provision for students who struggle to access the mainstream curriculum and could be, without suitable intervention, at risk of exclusion. We are looking for a tenacious Key Stage 2/3 specialist who is experienced in delivering quality teaching across the curriculum to small cohorts.
  • The Greenwood is a high staff to student ratio setting for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs, it aims to provide children who need the most support with the opportunities that children in mainstream education receive.
  • It is a very challenging, but very rewarding career path for qualified teachers. It is essential that you are determined to make a difference to our students while being confident and compassionate.
  • You will need to demonstrate resilience and empathy and collaborative approach working with a range of colleagues and engaging with external agencies.


Main purpose of the job:

The post holder's key responsibilities will be improving the standards of learning and raising levels of student achievement for all students in their care.

  • To ensure that students experience an educational programme that is personalised to their needs, developing their skills and abilities.
  • To actively promote relevant subject related activities to promote students’ enthusiasm and interest
  • To work collaboratively across the school and trust to reflect the whole school vision
  • To work to foster a positive working environment in all curriculum areas that supports students’ learning
  • To play a part in the pastoral development of students
