This Role is Subject to -

  • Driving Licence – You must always hold a full valid driving licence
  • Essential Car Documentation - This post is a designated Essential Car User. Therefore, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work. You will receive the Essential Car User Allowance.
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Clearance - This post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO) has been established by the partner (Manchester City Council, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester Mental Health Service NHS Trust and Manchester Primary Care Partnership) to integrate, plan and manage community health and social care across the City. 

By working better together, we are bringing community health and social care services together in our 12 neighbourhoods to form integrated Neighbourhoods Teams (INTs). Our INTs will drive our collaborative approach, developing partnerships and building on existing community assets to facilitate improved delivery specific to each neighbourhood.

We will be able to provide improved care closer to home and to support the people of Manchester to live healthier, more independent and fulfilling lives and be part of a thriving and supportive community. Your role is deployed into MLCO by your employer: Manchester City Council.

Reablement is a community based team within Manchester, supporting our citizens to remain in their own homes and increase their independence. The role of a Reablement Team Leader is to  manage a team of reablement staff, undertaking all staff management activities, coach staff and observe practice, evaluate performance and put in place appropriate support to ensure continuous service improvement and improved outcomes for customers.

The role is based at Trafford House, Wythenshawe and is full time working Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 16:30.

About the Candidate

Demonstrates an understanding of the views of others and communicates in a realistic and practical manner using appropriate language and medium, listens attentively to views and issues of others and responds to issues arising.

Ability to organise own time effectively, creating own work schedules, prioritising, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales for own self and others. 

Ability to use ICT systems to obtain and analyse data and present it effectively through a variety of ICT channels.

Ability to analyse situations, diagnose problems, identify the key issues, establish and evaluate alternative courses of action and produce a logical, practical and acceptable.

Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff to high levels of performance in order to achieve change and maximise staff potential and contribution to the achievement of identified aims and objectives.  Can also lead and plan the work of the team which deals with more diverse issues.

Ability to work confidently with financial data and make decisions using appropriate financial information, interpreting trends and accounting for risk.
