About The Role

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £22,523 - £24,956 per annum

The Governors of Alma Park are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible, professional and reliable school attendance officer to help with the smooth running of the school office and to support our highly experienced School Business Manager.

The main purpose of the role is to monitor and report on whole-school attendance data, analysing data to identify key areas of concern.

To work closely with pupils, staff, parents and carers to reduce levels of absence, and act appropriately when persistent absence becomes a safeguarding issue.

About the Candidate

We are seeking a candidate who will be confident and be able to deal sensitively with a range of staff, children, parents/carers and outside agencies.
 
IT skills and previous school office experience using SIMs would be essential for this role.
 
Other essential qualities required are discretion (maintaining strict confidentiality), efficiency, being able to work on your initiative and under pressure, and a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of the school.
