About The Role

Working Hours: 35 Hours per week

This role has overall responsibility for the strategic management and direction of stakeholder and engagement activities supporting the City Centre Regeneration Team, ensuring that the Council's vision, corporate values, aims and objectives are met.

The City Centre Growth and Regeneration Team provide the essential focus and drive in the delivery of a wide range of projects and initiatives that support the regeneration and ongoing growth of the city centre. The team work to promote Manchester as a place to live, work and visit; facilitating development and investment in the city centre, and encouraging businesses to relocate here, supporting the creation of new jobs, homes, infrastructure and facilities. The team works with a wide range of partners in the public and private sector, and other stakeholders, to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to achieving the Council’s growth objectives.

About the Candidate

You will need excellent stakeholder engagement skills, across different channels and platforms, and for a wide variety of audiences to support the work and activities of the team, and in particular the Public Service Manager. This will include, but not be limited to, providing strategic marketing and engagement campaigns, supporting key work streams, and also providing a relationship management role. You will have strong experience of working across multiple projects, managing and prioritising workflows, in-depth experience of engaging with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, and excellent personal skills. You will also have excellent written and verbal communications kills, the ability to understand and present complex information, and experience of leading and delivering projects. The ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines and with senior managers and Members is also a must.
